The Man Who Never Complained

There once was a man who never complained.

He shouldered his burdens and walked free of shame.

Regardless of the trial there came no murmur or grumble,

and thus he walked upright and did not cause others to stumble.

All around him were complaints and whining

yet within his heart the Son was shining.

Because he did not complain he rarely spoke.

The complainers around him said this must be a joke.

This fellow does not complain, murmur or grumble.

How can it be that he is so humble?

Finally they knew that they were full of pride

While he had a tender heart and a very tough hide.

It wasn’t that the man was so very smart.

It was that the Son had worked on his heart.

The man was thankful for what had been done.

His heart had been purified through the work of the Son.

He was full of love and complaints were no more.

He had begun walking on that golden shore.

He and the Son spoke everyday,

and this was how he was shown the way.

Follow my lead said the bright and shining Son,

and with that all his complaints were done.
